Skyquest receive multiple Australian VMS contracts

London, UK – 5th January 2009 -- Skyquest Aviation, a leading design and manufacturer of specialist equipment for airborne surveillance aircraft has today announced the receipt of multiple contracts for the supply of their airborne surveillance systems known as the VMS to airborne surveillance units in Australia. The contracts are for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft and are the first fully integrated systems Skyquest will deliver in the region.

Delivery of the initial systems will start in February 2009, with rotary wing systems rolling out through to Q3 2009.

Skyquest VMS integrates airborne role equipment into a comprehensive and functional interface to the user through Skyquest mission displays. Multiple camera sensor outputs can be viewed simultaneously whilst control of moving maps, video recorders, mission computers even and selection of video to be sent via microwave link can all be controlled via the touch screen displays.

Skyquest VMS is widely used by most of the leading law enforcement agencies in the UK where the company is based but the technology, including the screens and digital video recorders, is adopted by several of the worlds leading aircraft manufacturers’
