Skyquest launch
Pilot mission display for EC135 & EC145 helicopters.
Skyquest Aviation,
the UK manufacturer of specialist airborne surveillance
equipment, today announced the introduction of
a new 6.5" mission display designed for pilot use
in both the EC135 and EC145 helicopter range.
Skyquest's new display is designed
to be installed on the right hand side of the cockpit
panel and to swivel backwards when not in use or
for landing.
During flight the display can be swivelled
from its storage position and used to display a variety
of information such as moving maps, radar, EVS images
or live video from the onboard FLIR camera.
When integrated with a moving map
the display utilises its touch-screen functionality
to control map inputs and often replaces the need for
a map control unit in the cockpit.
Skyquest will show the display at
this year's Helitech exhibition but have already received
orders for both aircraft types from European customers.
